The
Course emphasis is on practical skills and the first year gives
a good basic training in this, together with the introduction
to the theory of Shiatsu. The wide ranging syllabus is listed
overleaf. Shiatsu training will give you a greater sense of awareness
and the tools to improve your own health and well-being. You will
be able to give a wonderful Shiatsu to your friends and family,
together with handy first-aid points.
There
will be a high ratio of teachers to students to ensure you receive
an excellent level of support. Some home study is required. Those
satisfactorily completing the first year course can go on to the
2nd year. Depending on numbers the 2nd year will take place in
Forres or Aberdeen. The full three year course fulfills the requirements
laid down by Shiatsu's governing body, the Shiatsu Society.
The
course will be held at NewBold House, a Victorian mansion and
workshop centre set in beautiful gardens in Forres, Morayshire.
There will be the option of an organic, wholefood lunch and hot
drinks are always available. When space permits, B&B at NewBold
can be arranged for those needing accommodation. There are good
train and bus connections to Forres, which is on the A96 between
Inverness and Aberdeen. |
